Maitland Metro is a R1,2 billion inner-city rejuvenation project that is transforming Cape Town’s gateway suburb through the delivery of significant new affordable housing and job-creating commercial opportunities.
Located at the gateway to the City of Cape Town’s Voortrekker Road development corridor, the project is designed to unlock the untapped potential of this strategically important area, just five kilometres from the centre of the CBD.
Construction is nearing completion on the first, and has just begun on the second, of at least seven new buildings, which will collectively deliver more than 50,000m² of mixed-use development bulk, and add at least 1,200 residential opportunities aimed at low to middle income households.
The Prime is a 143-apartment development completed in November 2021, currently offering long-term rental accommodation from just R3,800 per month.
The Prime features an OK Minimark, a coffee shop, and other retail conveniences on the ground floor, as well as a residents’ courtyard on the first floor. Many of the apartments in this eight-storey building will offer stunning views of Table Mountain and Table Bay.
